The Slow Down Club

Movement + Writing

~ The Slow Down Club starts September 2026 ~

Curious what stories your body is holding? Or just need a minute to breathe?

Join me twice a month for The Slow Down Club, an offering I created by weaving together two of my favorite practices: movement and writing.

The what? The Slow Down Club is a class for relaxing our nervous systems, re-finding center and tuning inward to explore what the body has to say. With a blend of gentle movement and flow writing, we’ll settle together, inviting our curiosity and once the mind quiets, we’ll let sensation and insight spill onto the page. Writing will be guided by the movement itself or by a prompt to aid in your creative process. Perfect for depleted creatives, mothers, caregivers and anyone aching for a creative practice that includes the whole body.

Each class offers an opportunity to share, but pages can always stay private. Come as you are. No yoga experience or writing skills required.

FOR THOSE WHO:

  • Long for a deeper connection with their body, creativity and community.

  • Need the kind of rest a nap can’t give.

  • Feel stuck or uninspired in life.

  • Feel a creative pull need help following it

  • Want to keep the writing muscle warm.

*No prior writing or yoga experience required. Just a journal and a pen!

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Each class will begin with a brief settling-in task (free-writing or journaling to music) and a connection circle, where I will discuss the class theme. We’ll continue with a 25 to 35 minutes somatic practice and flow into guided writing together. Class will end with time for deep relaxation and an invitation to share for further integration. Come as you are. Bring a journal. There is nothing to prepare, just a willingness to be curious.

My Approach to Teaching Movement

Fun and Light

I want you to feel free to laugh, smile, cry, be silent. Come just as you are.

Process Oriented

I like combining postures that build strength with creative fluid sequences while still giving you plenty of time to feel and observe what’s showing up in your body.

All Levels

I do my very best to make my classes accessible to all levels by encouraging the use of props and offering modifications.
