5 Reasons Private Yoga Classes May Be Right For You

You’re a beginner yoga student

Many public yoga classes often skim through the basics and don’t provide enough groundwork for people who are new to asana (the physical practice of yoga). This can be overwhelming. I know it was for me when I was starting out!

Private sessions allow you to ease into yoga in a safer manner, with proper alignment and a clear focus on your needs.

You feel uncomfortable practicing in large groups

Gain confidence practicing in a private setting, where you will never be left behind. With a one-on-one class, you have the ability to ask questions and drive the direction of the session. It’s all about YOU! With studio classes, you’ll often alter yourself to meet the class. In private yoga classes, the instructor will alter the class to meet your needs.

You have specific areas you want to focus on

Sometimes large group classes feel stagnant or like something is missing. That's because they have to be general enough to appeal to many different people. In private yoga classes you can find poses and flows that feel good to you by exploring asanas in depth & fine tuning poses that fit your mental, physical and spiritual needs.

You need something that fits your schedule

One-on-one yoga classes allow you to work on your schedule and at your own pace. If you have a job or responsibilities that seem to hinder you from attending classic studio times, then pre-recorded content could be the way you find your flow!

You want to go deeper

Maybe you don’t have specific goals in mind, but you know that you want to explore beyond what is taught in studio classes . . . Private sessions are a safe place to dive deeper in search for clarity. Take the time you need to sit in a pose, explore and ask questions.
